Thank you for the notification and, just to let you know, I received my tax rebate from the Inland Revenue yesterday. They did not hang around once the submission went in. Must be some sort of record for them.
I guess that concludes everything you said you would do for me, and with a little tear in my eye, I can now say my company is consigned to history.
I would like to say a very big thank you to you and all of the others at SJD. I very much appreciate all of the support that you gave me over the few years the company was in existence. It was a pleasure to work with you.
So if I get frustrated with the golf course and dog walking on the beach in St. Andrews, I will know who to call to help me get 'son' of my last company set up and running.

I just wanted to let you know the wonderful experience I had in
dealing with Natasha on the closure of Spring Adventures Limited.
She made what would have been a most frustrating task taking weeks
or months with other so called "professional" accountants into an easy to
follow / understandable process, completed in a matter of days (including
the need to rely on Royal (snail) Mail).
This is another example of what sets SJD apart from all other
professional services firms I have dealt with and why I will continue to

I am ALWAYS kept informed and up-to-date with Company regulations and key dates. I can feel totally confident that I won't ever miss any deadlines! Whoever I deal with, always gets back to me promptly, so I don't have to sit waiting for feedback on any concerns or questions that I may have.
On a Personal level, I regularly drop Iain a line, with questions from the mundane to the bizarre! Correspondence is always a pleasure and handled in a professional but personal and informal manner, so I never think twice about dropping him a line if I have any concerns!

The staff at SJD have consistently provided me with an excellent service from day one. The level of customer service and attention to detail is second to none.
Emails and telephone calls are always dealt with by return and the advice and assistance is always spot on; very clear, concise and appropriate. SJD are always improving the services they offer to make life easier for their clients, for example in April this year they introduced a new payroll service which means I have less paperwork to do.
I run two limited companies and they now prepare the accounts for both companies. In addition to dealing with all the standard accountancy tasks SJD have provided me with superb professional assistance with some of the more complicated issues I have had to deal with over the last few years.
One of the best things about dealing with SJD is that you are assigned to a specific Account Manager who provides continuity of service, you are a real person, not just a number in a database.

I have been a very happy client of SJD for several years. Initially I approached SJD because of their plain English explanations on the ContractorUK.com website. I had been having problems with my previous accountants and was being bombarded by the dreaded trinity - Companies House, Inland Revenue and HM Customs and Excise, including a demand for £30,000 that had already been paid! I turned up with the cliché carrier bag containing a hotch-potch of papers from my previous accountants - within days SJD had my accounts up-straight and had tamed the Inland Revenue, Companies House and HM Customs.

I relocated from Australia to the United Kingdom a little over 3 years ago.
My understanding and familiarity of UK tax law / requirements and Inland Revenue was limited. I was due to commence a consulting contract in the financial sector and needed assistance in setting up a company. I called quite a number of accountancy firms in the city and visited three for a face to face session.
I met with one of SJD's accountants in their Liverpool Street office. I was very impressed with the knowledge and understanding they had of the business model I was seeking to apply. They were able to articulate in an understandable way the benefits I could derive with the expert help the firm provided.
SJD helped me set up my company and were also appointed as Company Secretary.
I was able to quickly gain confidence that I had the right level of support to ensure I followed the right guidlines and was not at risk of being of being in breach of any Companies House or Inland Revenue directives.
SJD were able to define a plan that allowed me to maximise my take home pay in a most tax effective way. This allowed me to focus more on the work I am paid to do and not have to spend a great deal of my time on administration.

In that time I have used three Accountancy firms. I looked into using SJD just over 3 years ago as I was not happy with my accountant at the time. It felt as if I was having to do more work on the accountancy side of my business than I believed I needed to, so I decided to look for a new accountancy firm.
Being a member of the PCG I found some very favourable reviews from other contractors on SJD. When I initially looked into the firm I immediately had the impression that SJD was a professional firm which specifically understood the needs of an IT business. I find that when I phone my SJD branch (London office) the staff there are very friendly. Most of the staff actually know me by voice which makes the service more personal. I have often phoned or mailed them with queries and I have found that I always get a response on the same day. I remember my other Accountants considered a week to be a good turn around! One thing I find very helpful is the fact that email reminders are sent out for VAT returns, personal tax deadlines and PAYE payments. I used to have to add reminders to my PDA or in Outlook, but now SJD have taken on this role it saves me having to remember to add the reminders in the first place.
It's things like this that mean I spend a lot less time thinking and worrying about the accountancy side of my business and I can get on with actually doing what I set out to do - IT. I also find that SJD are actually less expensive than my previous account, but provide a much superior service. Not only have SJD helped enormously with my business, but in particular they have helped me through the mine field of VAT and barn conversions. I have recently bought a derelict barn and was greeted with the VAT rule book on barn conversions and VAT reclaim. One phone call to my accountant made the whole process so much easier to understand. My only regret with SJD is not finding them sooner!

I swapped to them in Feb this year (my co’s year end) from JSA.
Since I swapped my monthly balances have matched my bank account to the penny! With JSA I would not know the status of my company until 9 months after year end.
